Founder, Chartered Tax Adviser and Private Client Tax Specialist
I qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2011. I founded Sedgwick White in 2018 to counter a growing feeling that personal tax was becoming a bolt-on service within larger firms. Running my own firm allows me to focus entirely on provide personal tax compliance and planning even in smaller and niche cases.
"Beat HMRC" videos, one size fits all courses and online influencer styled advice from self professed 'tax gurus' frustrates me immensely. They sell shortcuts and quick wins that put people at risk. The best solutions are often hard to spot and difficult to understand. I help clients to see past just simple tax rate comparisons and build plans around their circumstances, income, assets, family, and what they want to achieve longer term.

Chartered Tax Adviser, Estate and IHT Specialist
Kate qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2014 and specialises in Estate Administration and Inheritance Tax. She came into tax with a law degree, which gives her a unique perspective on complex estates. Kate handles the technical work with precision and delivers results that protect clients from costly mistakes.
Tax Technician
Tom qualified as a Tax Technician and has worked with Adam since 2015. He keeps the business running smoothly and stays current with professional training. Tom leads our digital transformation, helping clients navigate new HMRC systems and Making Tax Digital requirements. Clients appreciate his practical support with technology and compliance.
